Frequently Asked Questions
What is the HaloFLEX?
The HaloFLEX is a portable, battery-powered halogenerator. It fills an enclosed space like a sauna cabin or wellness pod with fine particles of pharmaceutical-grade salt for dry salt therapy (halotherapy). There's no installation and no wiring. Just add salt and press one button.
Can I use it in my sauna?
Yes, as long as the space stays at or below 135°F (57°C), the HaloFLEX's maximum operating temperature. Many traditional saunas run hotter than that, so check your sauna's temperature before using it inside. Not sure? Our team is happy to help.
How long is a session?
Each session is pre-set to 15 minutes and shuts off automatically. You can press the button again anytime to stop early.
How much salt does it use?
Each fill takes about 2 teaspoons of salt and lasts about 10 sessions. The HaloFLEX comes with 100 g of pharmaceutical-grade salt, about 6 months' supply. Only use pharmaceutical-grade salt in your device.
How long does the battery last?
A full charge gives you up to 16 sessions, about 4 hours of run time. A small light next to the button flashes when it needs charging. Close the charging port cover after each charge to keep salt out of it.
Where should I place it?
Anywhere inside the enclosure: on the bench, on the floor or in a corner. It's designed to spread salt evenly through the space from any position. The included directional nozzle lets you aim where the salt goes.
How do I clean it?
Switch it off first. Wipe the outside with a dry cloth. Lift out the salt canister, unscrew the two halves, and brush around the blades with a dry brush to prevent salt build-up. Never use water.
When will my order ship?
The HaloFLEX ships free within the U.S. and usually arrives in about 2 weeks, depending on availability.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. The HaloFLEX includes a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
